# TG Credentials (How To)

If you have Two-Step verification turned on in your settings, please turn it off otherwise the bot will fail to sign you in. An update in the near future will support Two-Step verification, but to use it now it must be turned off.

To turn it off please go to telegram settings and click on `Privacy and Security`

Afterwards, please make sure Two-Step Verification is set to "off"

After doing so, please follow the below steps:

1. Go to <https://my.telegram.org/auth> and enter your phone number.
2. Click API development tools.
3. Enter anything for `App Title` and `Short Name` (Don't fill anything else out).
4. Click Save and record your `api_id` and `api_hash` values for use in the bot.
5. Go back to the sniper bot and click `Add TG Credentials`
6. Follow the steps using your new credentials
7. If all is done correctly, bot will alert with a message ("Connected successfully as \<tg\_username>)
8. The following will now be displayed in the bot and TG Scanner can then be used.

**Note: This only needs to be done one time, and your credentials will then be stored in your cookies. If your cookies are cleared, you'll need to re-add TG credentials.**\
\
**Warning: Do not repeat this step too many times or TG might think the account is getting hacked. If it doesn't work, please dm me** [**@Adamsnipes**](http://t.me/adamsnipes) **on telegram to assist you with setup.**
{% endhint %}
